BEAR YUBA LAND TRUST is new name for Nevada County Land Trust |
 |
Name change reflects work encompassing the Bear and Yuba River's watersheds.
GRASS VALLEY -
This week, the Nevada County Land Trust's Board announced the official name change to the "Bear Yuba Land Trust." They felt it was important for the public to realize their work extends beyond the Nevada County lines, and particularly because they protect the watersheds of the Bear and Yuba Rivers.
In addition, the Bear Yuba Land Trust has MOVED. Effective July 1st, their office is now located on the North Star House property (where the Grower's Market is held) near the Fairgrounds.
The new address is: 12183 Auburn Road, Grass Valley CA 95949 (the phone number remains 272-5994).
Directions: From McCourtney Road, turn onto Auburn Road (opposite Gate 3 of the Fairgrounds), go about 7/10 of a mile and just past the old metal barn watch on the left side for a driveway with a big orange and green gate. Pass through the gate and take the next right (sharp turn). At the end of that little road, turn left and you'll see the house with the Bear Yuba Land Trust banner on the front railing. The public is welcome to stop by and say hello.
